Slack Integration: Incident Updates in Your Workspace
Bring Incido incident lifecycle events into Slack so responders see severity, status, and customer impact without leaving the workspace.
In beta: channel notifications, rich incident cards, and workspace actions that sync back to Incido. Join the waitlist to get early access.
Slack is in beta with a limited number of workspaces. Join the waitlist to request early access and tell us how your team uses Slack during incidents.
What it does
The Slack integration posts structured updates when incidents are created, escalated, or resolved, and when maintenances are scheduled or start. Responders can follow links into Incido for the full timeline while subscribers in Slack stay informed. Workspace actions (acknowledge, assign, post updates) are rolling out to beta participants first.
How to get access
- 1
Join the beta waitlist
Tell us which Slack workspace you use and how your team runs incidents today. We onboard a limited number of organizations each month.
- 2
Connect your Incido organization
When invited, install the Incido Slack app to the workspace and authorize the channels where incident and maintenance updates should appear.
- 3
Choose channels and events
Map severity levels and teams to channels, and select which incident and maintenance events should post to Slack versus email or SMS only.
- 4
Run a tabletop in Slack
Fire a test incident and confirm the right people see the card, can open Incido, and that resolution clears the channel thread cleanly.
Common use cases
- Page the on-call engineer in Slack while leadership follows the same incident thread
- Post maintenance reminders to a customer-success channel before work begins
- Give support a read-only incident feed without granting full Dashboard access
- Reduce context switching during Sev-1 bridges when chat is already the coordination hub
